Chops For Days
-Chopsticks(English): kuàizi(Chinese), hashi(Japanese), jeotgarak(Korean) -
Today is the 8th straight day since I started using chopsticks for 90% of my meals at home & whenever I eat out at Chinese joints. It all started that other Friday nite when together with T-joy(ful) , Matt & Wei we treated ourselves to a sumptous, one of a kind buffet at the finest Chinese buffet in town. Ok, my delicacy was courtesy of T-joy(ful) who was giving me a treat:)
King's Buffet might as well pay me in food for this free promotion am doing for them,lol!

We had an impromptu dinner the other day after we'd spent early evening playing a wild game of cards in the dining room. Ofcourse I suck big time at card games but I somehow managed to come out with one win. I cook a mean Chinese - well, when i can be asked - and there was a time when i used to be good with chopstix -now i am lazy and use the fork - shame shame. Finish the post: Did you light a fire in the kitchen, did it look like a bombsite - or are you like me and clean as you go along.

That looks like seafood to me (I can see octopus). I love seafood and now you are making me all hungry and you know my situation with cooking. Oh well, we may not have a King's Buffet but Mai Ling's Chinese House will do me just fine:)

Great thing with chopsticks is that unless you are a pro you end up eating less so they are the best diet tools ever!Love the pics they made me hungry.

Sorry, didn't hurry with the replies but yes, we you can take pilau with the meal but it's best taken with plain white rice or for a touch of more flavour, have it with wali wa nazi, you'll see heaven:))
Do try the choosticks Nakeel, it's an experience you'll get hooked on I tell you! Let me know incase you need them mailed out to you:)
mshairi, I could give you a hint or two on chopstick use, let me know. It's not that hard & it only took me two meal sittings to be comfortable with them.
Looks like seafood to you querida? Pole for making you hungry & all but you know since you love seafood I can arrange for roomie to get a recipe for more seafood delicacies you know?

Msanii_XL, Hehe! cooked seahorse...I wonder whether I've ever tried that. Will chance it. Btw, you and Mshairi are either looking through the same eyeglass or know a thing or two that the rest don't.
Poi, Once you try them chopstix and do it a couple more times without spilling food all over the place that makes you a pro, give it another try my dear friend so we can head to China Town when I come for Safari Sevens (I pray I be able to make it)
Hihi, chopstics was one of the tools here but not back on Maarifa:)) Yes, there's veggies & some really good seasonings. Was a cook up well enjoyed.

Said like a real diet pro but all the same I suggest you try it over & over until you can handle different bite-size foods. Btw, you know there's endless things you can do with them sticks, including cutting, picking, dicing etc?

Udi, I used to think like you a while back but, not to convert everyone into a chopstick user but it frankly isn't that hard to get munching with them. All the same, there's stuff like tearing thru nyamchoms etc that you can't do with chopsticks

We got us some chinese buffet somewhere in stockholm and after we ate they told us we were the first blacks they've seen eating frogs. I still hope they were joking.
I can bet my last penny that they were telling you the truth bcoz where we go for dinner they have loads & loads of frogs legs & I've tasted them once and didn't like them much..hihi, kijana, pole sana:))LOL!! LOL!
