I Catch Myself...

late at night staring in wonder at some all of a sudden appealing things I rarely notice in the house & I can’t help questioning whether they’ve always been that way or if it’s just me looking at them differently at that moment.
-This chandelier has been here for as long as I’ve lived in this apartment but I suddenly appreciate it more.

at times seated with friends on this green carpet of flowing grass in the spring & summer as we take in the sun and fresh air while I happily let my imagination go…
-This place is barely 30 secs walk from my back door:)

NB: Just noticed that
Kipepeo too has a gorgeous place she goes to too not far from her home. You g-go g-giiirl:)!!

Amuse-toi copiiiine:)!

@ Kipepeo, you know I would agree to swap a beach for this green carpet any time, any day:)!

@ Luna, Thanks a lot, guess am getting to appreciate some things more now that my pace has mellowed down lately.
Thanks for the book tag but I already did in my June 13 post. I'll gladly do any other kind you may have:)

Wow akiey - loving the photo of the chandelier! You make me feel like using my camera far more carefully and more selectively (and also posting the photos from Brighton which I think are not too bad).

Thank you.

@ Poi, You're right, it's the little things we often overlook that add greater value to this hectic life. Who knows, I may find beauty in my kitchen sink or the plastic chairs outdoors next time I look at them closely, lol!

You're welcome anytime to read, practise & comment as often as you'd like.

@ Nick, I'd say it's a matter of living in an area going thru +ve change/remodeling...the buildings were kind of rundown before '02. Spring & summer you'll find us on the grass & often cycling along the curvy stretch. Winter, snowboarding downhill like little kids, lol!

@mshairi, please do put up the pics from Brighton, would love to see places that look different from what we're now used to:) Believe me, I look at the chandelier differently nowadays(lol!). Befriend your camera & you'll be amazed by what "the two of you" capture together. You'll come around & tell me 'you told me so':)

BREAKING NEWS 0800Hrs GMT
Okay okay!!!! Everyone has been asking whether they can call me 'Blue Poet'! This is my answer( a press release has been sent to all media houses at 0800hrs this morning):

The poet formerly known as Kenyan Kukekamba has decided, as a result of pressure armtwistting and all other manners of coersion to accept the title 'Blue Poet'.He will however refuse to acknowledge names like 'Blue Kukekamba','Blue Kamba' or 'Bluey'. The short form of 'Blue' is acceptable.
